Hot weekend ahead for Jacksonville area – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The First Alert Weather Team is forecasting a hot weekend for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

According to Garrett Bedenbaugh, meteorologist at Action News Jax First Alert, we can expect:

  • Dry commute on Friday morning.
  • Maximum temperatures on Friday will be between 35 and 35 degrees Celsius inland and below 35 degrees Celsius on the coast.
  • It feels like temperatures over 100 degrees.
  • In the late afternoon and early evening, after 4 p.m. on Friday, there will be isolated rain showers/thunderstorms, especially in northeast Florida.
  • Locally, heavy rain and lightning strikes are the main hazards. Gusty winds of over 65 km/h are possible with each thunderstorm.
  • It will remain hot and mostly dry over the weekend.
