Vivek Agnihotri, known for his outspoken socio-political views, came in support of Kangana after she was mocked by a section of users over the Chandigarh slap incident. He tweeted, “This incident involving @KanganaTeam must be condemned by every sane person. Why am I saying ‘sane’? Because only sane people understand how dangerous this is for a democracy. Those who are laughing at Kangana must know that many people don’t like your tweets either. And you are flying too.”

About the incident at Chandigarh airport

The Lok Sabha MP from Mandi had claimed in a video that CISF constable Kulvinder Kaur waited for her and slapped her during the security check. Kulwinder later left the airport and said on camera that she was hurt by Kangana’s remarks on the farmers’ protests. She said, “She made a statement… that the farmers are sitting there to 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there protesting when she made that statement…” Kangana had spoken out against the farmers’ protests in 2021 and was criticised for her views at the time.

Kangana defeated Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh in the Lok Sabha elections in Mandi.

As an actress, she will soon be seen in the film “Emergency”, which she directed, in which she plays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
