Showers and thunderstorms over the next two days, some of them possibly heavy

TONIGHT & TONIGHT:

During the evening, a few showers and thunderstorms will move in from the west. No severe weather is expected – just the occasional heavy downpour. After a hot and humid afternoon with temperatures around 32 degrees Celsius, temperatures will drop again overnight to 27 degrees Celsius and then to 21 degrees Celsius.

FIRST WEATHER WARNING DAY ON TUESDAY:

A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible at any time. During the late afternoon, some storms could become strong to severe, bringing damaging wind gusts and possible small hail. It will be warm and humid again with lows of around 21 degrees and highs of around 27 degrees.

There will continue to be rain and thunderstorms in some places until Tuesday night.

WEDNESDAY:

Wednesday will see continued scattered showers and thunderstorms. As was the case on Tuesday, expect heavy downpours, brief localized flooding and possibly a strong gust or two of wind. Humidity and warmth will persist throughout the day.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY:

A cold front will move through the area on Thursday. With this front there is a chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm. However, the chance of rain on Thursday will be much lower than the previous two days. Thursday will be hotter with highs in the 30s.

Friday promises to be an absolutely gorgeous day with less humidity and pleasantly warm temperatures. High: 84.

THIS WEEKEND AND BEYOND:

Very nice weather is expected again this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday will be appropriate for the time of year.

While there is a 20% chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm, much of the region will remain dry throughout, with a mix of clouds and sunshine.
