Man found dead in yard in Fairfield County, Henrico police launch investigation

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a yard in the Fairfield District.

On Monday, June 3, around 8:00 a.m., officers were called to the 1600 block of Hope Road for a reported domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the caller who had contacted 911. During their investigation, officers found a man in a yard with clear signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Henrico Police Criminal Investigation Department investigators are on scene collecting evidence and trying to determine what happened,” a police spokesperson said in a news release. “More details will be released as they become available.”
