Mark Escueta and his family were uninjured in the accident

July 11 – Musician Mark Escueta and his wife, actress Jolina Magdangal, assured that they are fine after a car accident they had in the early hours of July 10.

That same day, around 6 a.m., Escueta updated his and Magdangal’s situation on Facebook, writing: “Jolina underwent a CT scan and an X-ray, while I only got an X-ray. They couldn’t find any problems, so we were discharged from the hospital at 6 a.m. We just need to be observed for the next few days. Thank you, Lord.”

He also expressed his relief that his son Pele was also safe, as he was sitting in his car seat at the time of the accident.

“He didn’t even cry, but Jolina has a big bruise on the back of her head. We don’t know what happened to her,” he added.

Regarding the incident, Escueta said her car was hit from behind by a van at the traffic light in front of the Philippine Heart Centre at 1:30 a.m. on July 10. Apparently, Escueta said, the driver of the van fell asleep at the wheel.

“Our rear window was completely smashed and I could see the driver of the van. His windshield was also gone and I could see that he was in pain because he was pressed to his seat by the steering wheel and dashboard,” said the musician.

He ended his post by reminding everyone to take a moment to rest if they are too tired to drive.

Magdangal also updated her Instagram to reassure her fans that the whole family is safe.
