Virginia man faces multiple charges after disturbing the peace

VIRGINIA – A Cass County man was arrested on aggravated possession of a weapon and other charges after police were called to a Virginia residence for a disturbance.

According to a report from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a report of a man with a gun in the 200 block of South Main Street at 7:53 p.m. Thursday.

Officers, along with officers from the Ashland and Beardstown police departments, searched the home and arrested Charles C. Hudson, 35, of Virginia. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of firearm ammunition by a felon and endangering the life of a child.

Further details about the outage were not available.

Hudson was being held at the Schuyler County Jail on Sunday.

According to court records, prosecutors have filed a motion to deny pretrial release, but a hearing has not yet been scheduled.
