Body recovered from Puget Sound in Burien Friday night

The Burien Police Department/King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) confirmed that a deceased person was discovered and recovered in Puget Sound on Friday evening, May 31, 2024, at approximately 7:35 p.m.

The body was observed and reported near Eagle Landing Park in the Seahurst neighborhood by a resident in the 14900 block of 28.^th Ave SW in Burien (map below).

Officers from the KCSO (Burien PD), the local fire department, and investigators from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office (KCMEO) were responsible for the recovery and investigation.

The KCMEO will release the person’s gender, identity and age, as well as the cause and manner of death, according to its protocols (we will update when this information is released).

The police did not have any further information at this time.
