Man and woman found dead north of Malvern

Police in Hot Spring County found two people dead on Tuesday in what is believed to be a homicide, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Police on Friday.

The bodies of Shelby Montgomery, 53, and Alana Holmes, 31, were found around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday by Rockport police officers responding to a report of a possible homicide at a home at 2655 Sand Road, the news release said. The Rockport home is about 3 miles north of Malvern.

State police investigators are investigating the deaths, and state crime lab examiners are conducting autopsies, the news release said.
