A portion of Rockawalkin Road in Wicomico Co. was closed for an accident investigation

HEBRON, Maryland – A section of Rockawalkin Road in Hebron is closed due to the investigation of a serious accident.

We’re told the accident happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 7100 block of Rockawalkin Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a single vehicle overturned and the victim was ejected from the vehicle.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was flown to a medical facility.

Initial investigations have revealed that the driver of a 2009 Nissan Altima lost control, left the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Rockawalkin Road between North Tourmaline Drive and South Tourmaline Drive is currently closed pending further investigation at the scene of the accident. The road is expected to reopen around 12 p.m.
