Indiana State Police cancel Silver Alert for missing 90-year-old

Update (5/20/2024): Indiana State Police have canceled the Silver Alert issued Monday for 90-year-old Raymond Joseph Schalk. State police did not provide any information about the condition in which Schalk was found.


GREENFIELD, Ind. – Indiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert for a 90-year-old man missing in Greenfield.

According to ISP, the Greenfield Police Department is investigating the disappearance of 90-year-old Raymond Joseph Schalk. GPD described Schalk as a 6-foot-1, 180-pound white male with gray hair and blue eyes.

Police said Schalk was last seen driving a red 2005 Ford Focus with Indiana license plate 314BJZ in Greenfield, which is about 26 miles east of Indianapolis. He was last seen on Monday May 20th at around 3pm.

Schalk is believed to be in “extreme danger” and may require medical attention, GPD said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to immediately call 911 or Greenfield police at (317) 477-4400. To remain anonymous, call (317) 262-TIPS.
