Fatal crash near Franklin involving vehicle and pedestrian under investigation – KQKI News

A pedestrian was killed in an accident late Saturday evening near Franklin. Just after 11 p.m., the Franklin Fire Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department and Acadian Ambulance were dispatched to westbound Highway 90 on the Willow Street overpass just before the Franklin exit. Louisiana State Police Troop I also assisted on scene.

According to preliminary information, the victim was far from the impact site and was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation. We will update the story as more information becomes available.
