Clouds break, northern lights may be visible tonight

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The skies will clear up a bit this evening and the Northern Lights may be visible from Western New York. The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch (G4). At least 5 coronal mass ejections directed towards Earth have been observed and are expected to arrive as early as midday today. The geomagnetic storm is expected to last until Sunday.
