Teenager killed after shotgun blast in Gooding

Three teenagers were doing work in the barn when one of them picked up a shotgun, which fired a shot, killing the woman who was nearby.

GOODING, Idaho – According to the Gooding County District Attorney’s Office, a young woman was shot and killed in Gooding this weekend.

The incident occurred in a barn in Gooding where three teenagers, two boys and a girl, were cleaning up after work. One of the boys grabbed a shotgun and fired a shot, killing the girl.

The Gooding County District Attorney’s Office reported that life-saving measures were attempted and the woman was taken to a local hospital. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30.

As of Monday, July 29, no one has been arrested in connection with this incident, but the investigation is ongoing.
