Houston toddler found unresponsive in neighbor’s pool, police say

A 1-year-old boy was in critical condition Saturday after being found unresponsive in a neighbor’s pool, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

In a post on X, formally known as Twitter, Gonzalez said the toddler appeared to have found an opening in a fence allowing him to access the neighbor’s pool. One of the two families had been hosting a family gathering in the 3400 block of Brackenfern Road at the time, Gonzalez said.
