Oklahoma man charged with human trafficking after 5-month investigation

After a five-month investigation, a man faces several charges, including human trafficking.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) Human Trafficking (HT) Group discovered a possible victim of human trafficking during an investigation in February.

OBN identified Billy Andrew Brown as a potential human trafficker.

Brown was arrested Monday near Northwest 10th Street and Portland on an Oklahoma County warrant for human trafficking, operating a brothel, transporting a person for the purpose of prostitution and using a computer to violate state law.

OBN said this case is an example of victims finding the courage to come forward and realize they are not alone.

Anyone can report suspected human trafficking anonymously by calling the OBN Human Trafficking Hotline at 855-617-2288 or direct message OBN on Facebook.
