Dutchess County woman attacked nursing home resident

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — A Dutchess County woman has been arrested and charged with assaulting a nursing home resident. Jossette Thompson, 51, of Dover, is charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

According to the New York State Police, an investigation revealed that Thompson physically assaulted a disabled resident of the Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation Center while she was employed there. She was arraigned in Somers Town Court and released on bail. She is scheduled to appear in court again on July 22.
