Bangkok Post – Thai-German man jailed for raping his daughter and uploading child porn

A criminal court on Monday sentenced a Thai-German man who raped his daughter and produced explicit online content to a reduced prison term of 25 years and six months after he confessed to his crimes.

The ruling came in response to an indictment filed by prosecutors against a male suspect named Tony, a Thai-German national, on charges of sex-related crimes including incest, child sexual abuse, possession and distribution of child pornography, forcing a child to perform obscene acts and entering obscene content into a computer system.

These actions contravened section 26 of the Child Protection Act 2003 and section 14 of the Computer Crime Act 2007.

Before his sentence was reduced, he was sentenced to 51 years in prison.

Tip from Germany

According to a source, the investigation was initiated following a tip-off from the German police to the Department of Special Investigations (DSI).

Evidence, including photographs and video clips, suggested that the man had repeatedly sexually abused children in Thailand and uploaded the content to a darknet website that was distributed in Germany.

The investigation revealed that the accused was a Thai-German citizen who lived in a northeastern province of Thailand.

The DSI investigators conducted a thorough investigation in cooperation with the German police.

The DSI also coordinated with Operation Underground Railroad on the exchange of information and analysis of evidence in the area of ​​child sexual abuse.

The evidence suggested that the man had sexually abused a child under the age of 13 and committed an incest crime.

During their investigation, the police seized numerous items, including electronic devices containing pornographic files depicting several minors.
