Investigation into the death of John Doe at a car wash in Kokomo, Howard County

KOKOMO, Ind. – Officials in Kokomo are searching for the identification of a man found dead at a local car wash.

The Howard County Coroner’s Office is investigating a John Doe case after emergency responders were called to a car wash in the 2300 block of West Sycamore Street in Kokomo around 9:20 p.m. last Friday to determine a death.

Authorities described the dead man as a 5’10” (1.78 m) tall, 185 lb (86 kg) white man with short brownish-gray hair, a short beard and mustache. He was found wearing only black and yellow swimming trunks, a black backpack and a pair of gray-blue tennis shoes.

Police believe the man may be diabetic because unlabeled diabetes medication was found. However, officers did not find any other identifiable items.

The man has several tattoos, shown below, including the initials “KAW” and a wolf face on his right upper arm, a large cross on his left upper arm, and an animal skull with horns on his right rear calf.
