Wardens said the victim was last seen at 10:30 p.m. the night before and his shoes and phone were found at the entrance to the boathouse on the property the next morning.

The victim, Robert Clinkscales, 39, of Dillard, was found in about 40-50 feet of water, about 30 feet from the boathouse.

His body was recovered shortly after midnight.

The driver of the offending PWC fled before police could arrive and was not found.
