Minor girl raped by 19-year-old B-Tech student

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl is said to have been raped by a teenager here, police said on Friday.

The young man (19), a student at the Faculty of Engineering, and the underage girl, who was attending middle school, met through an online messaging app.

The teenager went to the girl’s apartment on Thursday evening and allegedly raped her there.

Following a complaint by the girl’s mother, a rape case was registered under the BNS and POCSO Act, they added.
