Fatal car crash in Dorchester is being investigated by Boston police

DORCHESTER, MA — On the evening of June 28, 2024, a tragic incident occurred when a car crashed into a building at 24 Fifield Street in Dorchester. Boston Police Department officers from District 11 arrived at the scene at approximately 8:34 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the passenger of the vehicle, an adult male, with a broken leg. He was immediately transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle was found deceased at the scene and was pronounced non-viable by officers.

Boston Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Homicide detectives have been called in to examine all aspects of the incident and determine the sequence of events that led to the accident.
