Man arrested for breaking into multiple homes in Livermore: Police

(KRON) — A man was arrested for breaking into several homes in Livermore overnight Saturday, Livermore police said. Before 1 a.m., officers responded to a report that a man had entered a home on Mocho Street. He was seen in the back yard.

According to police, the man tried to break into the house through the rear sliding door. When the homeowner confronted the man, the suspect ran away.

About an hour later, there was another report of a break-in at a home on El Dorado Drive, about a half-mile from Mocho Street. It turned out to be the same man who had broken in an hour earlier.

The suspect previously lived at the home on El Dorado Drive, and the current homeowner knows the suspect, police said. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Alfredo Macedonia of Livermore, was later found in the parking lot of the nearby Joe Michell School.

Macedonia was found to have methamphetamine in his system, police said. He was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail on charges of burglary, possession of a controlled substance and trespassing.
