According to the US, the cargo ship Verbena attacked by the Houthis sent a distress signal

The Ukrainian cargo ship Verbena, which had previously been attacked by Houthi forces of the Ansar Allah movement that rules northern Yemen, sent a distress signal and its crew was evacuated, the report said, citing the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

“On June 13, the Iran-backed Houthis attacked the M/V Verbena, a Palauan-flagged, Ukrainian-owned and Polish-operated bulk carrier, in two separate missile attacks. Today, at approximately 13:45 (Sanna time), the crew issued a distress call stating they were abandoning ship. The M/V Anna Meta responded to provide assistance. Anna Meta has recovered the sailors and is transporting them to safety. The crew abandoned ship because fires continued and they could not bring them under control.

The Iranian frigate IRIN Jamaran was eight nautical miles away from the M/V Verbena and did not respond to the distress call.
