Thief stole liquor and Pokemon toys while on probation

Daniel Stanford, of Hills Lane Drive, Madeley, admitted robbery and assault in November last year.

The 43-year-old drug addict was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and ordered to perform unpaid work and participate in probation services.

However, Shrewsbury Crown Court heard on Tuesday that Stanford not only stopped cooperating with the probation service following his conviction, but also committed three further offences.

Prosecutor Robert Edwards told the court that Stanford was found guilty on April 30 of three counts of theft from shops in Telford.
