Suspect arrested for arson in southwest Charlotte: CFD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – One person was arrested after investigators determined a structure fire in southwest Charlotte was intentionally set, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

On Sunday, June 9, at approximately 10:45 p.m., emergency crews responded to 200 Green Needles Court and encountered light smoke upon arrival.


According to officials, it took about 10 minutes for 30 firefighters to get the fire under control. No one was injured in the incident.

At around 7:15 a.m., the Charlotte Fire Department reported an arrest after investigators believe the fire was intentionally set. Damage from the fire is estimated at $23,000.
