Man shot twice in apparent incident of driving aggression in Dix Hills

Police say a man shot another man twice in an apparent incident of driving aggression in Dix Hills on Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the victim got out of his car on Commack Road around 2:30 a.m. to confront another driver. The man in the other vehicle then opened fire on him and drove away.

Police say the shooter is still at large. Anyone with information is asked to call Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the confrontation between the drivers.
