PHOTOS: Car crashes through downtown Canton building after multi-car crash – Jordan Miller News

A multi-car crash at the intersection of Cleveland Ave NW and Tuscarawas St W caused the intersection to be temporarily closed Thursday morning. One car involved in the crash drove through a downtown building.

The accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. and involved three vehicles, Canton police said.

One of the vehicles involved left the road, overturned and eventually crashed into the Canton College Preparatory School at the corner of the intersection.

“It was an indescribable sound,” a school employee told JMN. “I just thought: what the hell is that?”

The accident happened in the middle of the gymnasium, but luckily there were no students in the school when it happened because of the summer vacation. The staff member said if classes had been in full swing, the children would have been right there when the accident happened.

“Someone would have been seriously injured,” she said.
