Woman raped under the pretext of work

LAHORE: A woman was allegedly raped on the pretext of offering her a job here on Wednesday. The victim reported that Tariq, a person she had befriended on TikTok, lured her to a place on the pretext of offering her a job. He picked her up from Yateem Khana Chowk and took her to the place where he allegedly raped her.

According to police, when they were informed of the incident, they were initially denied access to the premises. However, the club’s security service eventually handed the woman over to the police. Based on the victim’s complaint, proceedings were initiated.

Phone taken away

A robbery occurred at the doorstep of a citizen named Tanveer in Gulshan Iqbal area. The complainant Tanveer stated to the police that an unknown person approached his house when he was not at home. The woman who was at home came out to answer the doorbell.

When she came out, the robber introduced himself as a salesman from Rana Property Dealer. The alleged robber pulled out a gun and snatched the mobile phone while she was on the phone, which can be seen in the CCTV footage. A case has been registered.

Two dead found

On Wednesday, two people were found dead at different locations in the city. A 50-year-old man was found dead near Mozang Adda, while a 30-year-old eunuch was recovered

Both victims were apparently drug addicts and their identities have not yet been established. Volunteers from the Edhi Foundation took the bodies to the morgue.
