Sault Ste. Marie man arrested for child sexual abuse – 9&10 News

SAULT STE. MARIE – The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announced Wednesday the arrest of 20-year-old Marquis Anthonie Harmon on charges of child sexual abuse and extortion.

Harmon was arrested after an investigation was launched when it was discovered that Harmon was viewing files containing child sexually abusive material online, cops said. Digital evidence was seized during a search of his home, cops said.

Harmon was charged with child sexual abuse and racketeering.

Harmon was arraigned in 91st District Court on May 30. If convicted, Harmon faces up to 20 years in prison for child sexual abuse and 20 years in prison for racketeering, officials said.
