Stranger allegedly raped 93-year-old woman in Osogbo

There was widespread fear in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, after a stranger allegedly raped a 93-year-old woman in her home.The man is said to have broken into the 90-year-old’s house at a rest stop in Osogbo to carry out his evil deeds.

It was assumed that the ninety-year-old was home alone when the man burst into her room in broad daylight, gagged her and forced her into bed.

According to the investigation, neighbors of the victim are said to have heard the perpetrator’s screams as he fled after the crime.

Yemisi Opalola, state police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said the victims were treated at the police clinic after the incident.

Yemisi Opalola said the incident was only reported to the police four days later and stressed that the command is working to bring the perpetrator to justice.
