7 dead dogs found in mobile home fire in Cabazon

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the fire was reported in the 14600 block of Mission Street.



CABAZON, CA — Firefighters battling a mobile home fire in Cabazon Tuesday night were unable to save the seven dogs inside the vehicle.

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the fire was reported at 8:10 p.m. in the 14600 block of Mission Street.

When emergency services arrived on scene, they found the motorhome “completely engulfed in flames,” the agency reported.

By 8:32 p.m. the fire was completely extinguished, but according to the authorities, “unfortunately seven dead dogs were found inside the mobile home.”

No further injuries were reported.

The Red Cross was asked to help the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
