In February, Bigelow was fired for allegedly making false statements about herself by using another person’s auditor identification number.

CPA certification is not required for the position.

Bigelow had held the position since 2019 – but had apparently considered leaving for a job in another county. Vance County offered her a $25,000 raise to keep her and also gave Perry a $15,000 raise.
