The winners of the 13th annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards have been announced. The awards honor commercial and nonprofit productions that premiered Off-Broadway in the 2023-2024 season.

The awards, presented by the Off Broadway Alliance – an organization of off-Broadway producers, theaters, executives, press agents and marketing professionals – include six competition categories. Winners include David Yazbek, Erik Della Penna and Itamar Moses’ new musical Dead outlaw and Cole Escola’s Broadway comedy Oh, Mary!

In addition to the six competition categories – Best New Musical, Best New Play, Best Revival, Best Unique Theatrical Experience, Best Solo Performance and Best Family Show – the Alliance will also present several other awards during the June 18 ceremony at Sardi’s.

As previously announced, the legendary Off-Broadway Awards will be presented to actors Marylouise Burke and Len Cariou and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks for their “extraordinary contributions over many years.” The Friend of Off-Broadway Award will be presented to Adam Feldman, chief theater critic of Time Out New York.

Playwright/actor Christopher Durang, author Michael Feingold and producer Edgar Lansbury are posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.
