Five in custody after stolen Kia hits patrol car

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Several people are under arrest after a stolen Kia struck a patrol car in Old North Columbus Friday afternoon.

A stolen red Kia crashed into a Columbus Police cruiser near the intersection of North Fourth Street and Wyandotte Avenue around 3:20 p.m. The incident began when the vehicle failed to stop and fled from police, according to the Columbus Police Department.


Five suspects were arrested. Police could not disclose their ages at this time. No injuries were reported.

As of 5:40 p.m., police had not released any further information.
