Goats coming soon to the Houston Arboretum

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Goats are BAAAAHHH-ck at the Houston Arboretum this spring to help mow down species that can harm the garden’s biodiversity.

This year the goats will arrive at the Arboretum on May 28 due to weather delays. Guests can find the goats in a 3-acre area along the Outer Loop between the South Meadow Trail and the Muscadine Trail. The Arboretum provides visitors with a guide to observe the goats at work:

Park at either entrance and get ready for a walk! The goats can be found just south of Meadow Pond.

When walking, be sure to stay on the sidewalk or trail.

The Arboretum reminds visitors not to feed or pet the goats and to keep children and dogs away from the fence since it is electrified.

Photos are allowed! Post them on social media and tag @houstonarboretum.
