2 shots, 1 dead in Austin

One man was killed and another injured in a shooting in the Austin area on Tuesday evening.

They were standing in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of South Leamington Avenue around 6:30 p.m. when a Nissan drove by and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.

A 46-year-old man was struck multiple times in the body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name has not been released. Another man, 51, was shot in the leg and neck and taken to Stroger Hospital. He was in good condition.

No arrests were made.
