Police are investigating a shooting outside rapper Drake’s mansion that left a security guard seriously injured

TORONTO – Police are investigating a shooting outside rapper Drake’s Toronto mansion that left a security guard seriously injured.

Authorities did not confirm whether Drake was home at the time of the shooting but said his team was cooperating. The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Toronto’s affluent Bridle Path neighborhood.

Toronto Police Inspector Paul Krawczyk said video of the shooting has been recovered and the injured guard remains in hospital.

In recent weeks, Drake has been embroiled in a rap feud with Kendrick Lamar, with each artist releasing diss tracks and attacking the other.

Krawczyk was asked if the feud played a role in the shooting, and he said that while investigators knew about it, it was too early to talk about the motive.
