First weather warning: Saturday evening update | Weather

Delmarva is looking forward to a much warmer and drier week, but some gloom remains as the weekend draws to a close.

We’ll see some patchy drizzle this evening, which will ease over the coming hours. However, clouds will persist into Sunday morning as temperatures drop into the 50s.

Sunday will be a much more pleasant day. While the day starts gray, some sunshine returns in the afternoon hours. Temperatures will rise to around 70 degrees inland and slightly cooler on the beach due to onshore winds.

Onshore winds will keep conditions cooler into Monday. We’ll see clouds early on Monday, moving in towards the end of the day. Temperatures will rise back to around 70°C inland and 60°C along the coast.

On Tuesday, temperatures will climb into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees as onshore winds die down. There will be few clouds on one of the first days in quite some time.

Things will only get warmer from there as temperatures continue to climb into the 80s on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s on Thursday before isolated storms emerge late in the day.

The warmer weather is likely to last through Memorial Day weekend. Be sure to tune in to CoastTV News to get your latest forecast.
