Scranton man accused of sexually assaulting 5-year-old boy

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A man has been taken into custody after allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old.

According to a news release, 31-year-old Logan Coombes was taken into custody by the Butler Township Police Department on Friday following an incident in which he had sexual contact with a 5-year-old.

According to police, the incident occurred last year in Scranton.

In an interview with the investigator, Coombes revealed that he was involved in the incident.

Coombes was charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault and several other related charges.

He is currently in the Lackawanna County Jail and is unable to post bail.
