He also warned political leaders against making public statements or sharing information related to the sensitive case.

33-year-old Prajwal Revanna, grandson of JD(S) patriarch and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, is accused of sexually abusing several women.

The scandal triggered a political storm as the ruling Congress and the BJP-JD(S) traded blows.

Prajwal Revanna is said to have flown abroad on April 27, a day after the first phase of Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka.

He was the joint candidate of the BJP-JD(S) alliance from the Hassan Lok Sabha segment that went to polls in the first phase.

“No, there is no such option. The Blue Corner notification has been issued and Interpol will share the information. The particular country where he was found or identified – they will tell them (Interpol) and then our agencies, the CBI, will come to know and through them we will come to know.

“There is no information so far,” Parameshwara said.

He was responding to a question on reports of SIT team traveling abroad in connection with the case.

Speaking to reporters, he said: “Investigations are ongoing. To avoid compromising the investigation, we do not want to share any information.”

Responding to a question on Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s statement alleging a conspiracy behind the arrest of BJP chief Devaraje Gowda, who had made allegations against Congress leaders in connection with the case, Parameshwara said, “If someone says something, I can.” don’t react to it. We cannot respond to any public comment, as this is a serious case we cannot share any information until the investigation is complete.”

“My request to the public and to our leaders is to be careful when making statements. If not, based on the statements given by them, we may have to invite them for investigation and record their statement under Section 41 A of CrPC,” he added.

When asked if JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy will also be terminated, the minister said he is a former CM and believes he took this case seriously.

“Before commenting on this case or making information publicly available, one must be cautious, and that applies to everyone,” he added.
