Man dead after knife attack at Capitol Hill light rail station – KIRO 7 News Seattle

SEATTLE – Seattle Fire has confirmed the death of a 37-year-old man after he was stabbed multiple times near the Capitol Hill light rail station.

Emergency responders treated the man before paramedics transported him to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, said David Cuerpo, public information officer for the Seattle Fire Department.

“The patient was pronounced dead at the hospital,” Cuerpo said.

Police do not know what led to the stabbing and have not identified a suspect at this time.

According to Sound Transit, the Capitol Hill station will remain closed until Sunday.

Buses will be used to move around the closures.

Sound Transit has informed KIRO 7 that the closure is expected to last a few hours.
