Police search for remains of 17-year-old girl; Suspect in custody – WSOC TV

ALBEMARLE, N.C. – Albemarle Police Department officers are searching for the remains of a 17-year-old girl.

According to police, they received a 911 call requesting help around 4:30 a.m. Friday from a home on Floral Drive, just off Holt Road.

Albemarle PD, NCSBI and the National Center for Exploited and Missing Children are working together to find Carver’s remains.

As part of their investigation, Albemarle police and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation determined that 17-year-old Baylee Carver was presumed dead.

Officials announced the arrest of 20-year-old Joshua Biles, who was charged with obstruction and concealing death. He is currently in custody at the Stanly County Jail.
