One person killed in Killeen crash | KWKT

KILLEEN (FOX 44/KWKT) – Killeen police officers are investigating a crash that left one person dead Friday morning.

Police learned of the accident around 5:50 a.m. When they arrived at the 12300 block of Highway 195, they found a tractor-trailer and a black Nissan sedan at the intersection.


Officers believe the tractor-trailer was parked at a yield sign facing west toward the intersection and that its trailer was blocking the northbound turn lane and inside lanes. According to police, the Nissan crashed into the left rear of the trailer.

An ambulance transported the driver of the Nissan to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver remained uninjured.

Police identified the driver of the Nissan as 30-year-old Karelys Almeda Sola. She died of her injuries at 6:49 a.m
