Red light shooting: Man struck multiple times during traffic stop in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KIAH) – The Houston Police Department (HPD), officers from Precinct 6 and the Houston Fire Department responded to the scene of a shooting around midnight Tuesday morning.

The victim, a male, was found inside an SUV in a lot in 900 S Roadsidewas taken to a nearby trauma center where he is scheduled to undergo surgery. According to reports, the victim was at a red light when someone in a white Nissan Altima opened fire next to him.

Fortunately, he was able to get away and walk several blocks before needing help. Police are searching for the suspect, who has not yet been identified. They are asking anyone with information to come forward or contact Crime Stoppers.
