38-year-old man arrested for sexually abusing his daughter

Nirmal (Telangana) (India), July 29 (ANI): A 38-year-old man was arrested in Nirmal district of Telangana for allegedly sexually abusing his daughter, police said.
According to police, Sanjeev was already convicted for the murder of his second wife and was released from prison five months ago. After his release, he was living with his first wife and two children in Gundampalli village in Dilawarpur area of ​​Nirmal district.

“The accused started harboring incestuous thoughts towards his daughter and attempted to rape her on July 19. When the daughter resisted, he threatened to kill her and her mother if she told anyone about the incident,” Janaki Sharmila, superintendent of police of Nirmal district, said in a press release.
However, the daughter confided in her mother and brother and they approached the police. A case has been registered under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and other relevant sections, the release said.
The police used modern technology to track down the accused, who was hiding in Pune, and arrested him from Basara on July 28. He was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody, police said. (ANI)
