Duxbury residents die in serious traffic accident on I-89 in Vermont Sunday morning

A man and a woman from Duxbury were killed in a traffic accident on Interstate 89 in Vermont on Sunday morning, Vermont State Police said.

Sean Delaney, 19, and Elana Korey, 20, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at 5:04 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway in Middlesex. When emergency responders arrived, they found the car engulfed in flames, Vermont State Police said in a brief statement.

Delaney was driving a 2006 Lexus ES330 and Korey was a passenger in the car, the statement said. Speed ​​is believed to have been a factor in the single-vehicle accident.
