Accident on Highway 5 north of Browning leaves two injured

On July 22, 2024 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a single-car crash occurred on Highway 5, 1.5 miles north of Browning, Missouri. A 2009 Chevrolet Aveo, driven by Travis T. Linkhart, 28, of Purdin, Missouri, left the right side of the road, entered a ditch and overturned.

Linkhart, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Michaela A. Siira, 26, of Milan, Missouri, a seat belted passenger in the vehicle, also suffered minor injuries. Both were transported by Sullivan County Ambulance to Sullivan County Hospital.

The Chevrolet Aveo was a total loss and was towed from the scene by Littrell Towing in Milan.

At the scene of the accident, Missouri State Highway Patrol officers, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office personnel, Browning Fire Department personnel and local first responders were on scene.
