65-year-old man killed in ATV accident in rural eastern Nebraska

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – A Murray man was killed Monday in an ATV accident in rural eastern Nebraska, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the area of ​​12th Avenue and Baxter Loop, just south of Beaver Lake, around 5:50 p.m. after a report of a man trapped under an all-terrain vehicle.

When officers arrived, they found 65-year-old Daniel Delancey, who was dead, according to the sheriff’s office.

Delancey was driving the ATV on his property when it rolled down a slope and trapped him, the sheriff’s office said.

Alcohol played no role and no helmets were worn.
