Clifton Suspension Bridge: Man charged with double murder, suitcase victim named by police

A man has been charged with murder after human remains were found in suitcases in Bristol. The Metropolitan Police have also released the names of the victims following the gruesome discovery on the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Yostin Andres Mosquera, 34, of Scotts Road, west London, was arrested by armed police in Bristol Temple Meads in the early hours of Saturday (July 13). He has since been charged with two counts of murder and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later today (Monday 15 July).



Police have identified the victims as Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71. The two were reportedly known to Mosquera and he had lived with them in the Scotts Road apartment.

The bodies were discovered on the Clifton Suspension Bridge late on Wednesday evening (July 10) after Avon and Somerset Police received a report of a suspicious man. A suitcase containing human remains was found on the bridge and a short time later a second suitcase was found nearby, also containing human body parts.
