Pedestrian dead after collision with car in Hustonville

HUTTONSVILLE, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was killed in a car-pedestrian accident in Huttonsville on Tuesday.

Shortly before 2 a.m. on July 9, a traffic accident involving a pedestrian was reported at Par-Mar in Huttonsville, according to a news release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. The pedestrian was killed in the collision, the news release said.

The accident remains under investigation and no further details have been released. The sheriff’s department said the victim’s name will not be released until family members are notified.

Several deputies and Sheriff Rob Elbon were alerted to the accident. Sheriff Elbon said more details would be released after the investigation is complete.
